ИНДИСКАТА ВЛАДА КЕ ГРАДИ СПОМЕНИК ЗА ЕГЗОДУСОТ НА РОМИТЕ

Владата на Индија ке гради споменик во знак на сеќавање на егзодусот на Ромите пред околу 1.500 години,  кој ке биде поставен  во градот Канауј, Утар Прадеш.

Се очекува да биде претставено  оваа година на жартиера настан кој ќе ги собере претставниците на Ромите од многу делови на глобалната дијаспора. Државниот министер Асим Арун рече дека уникатниот споменик, вклучувајќи го и центарот за учење, ќе биде постојана фокусна точка за Ромите ширум светот.

Пратеникот Петер Полак рече: „Потребна ни е поддршката од Индија за да добиеме целосно признавање на Ромите.

Истовремено, се преземаат чекори за одржување на следниот Светски конгрес на Ромите, кој за прв пат ќе се одржи во Јужна Америка следната година. Домаќин на настанот ке биде  Ромскиот колектив од Бразил, преку канцеларијата  на Нарди Казанова. Меѓу истакнатите Индијци кои планираат да присуствуваат е Рајан Зед, шеф на Хиндусимското универзално друштво, во САД. Минатата година, ARSP, Индискиот центар за ромски студии и Global India Series потпишаа меморандуми со WRC.

На првиот WRC во Лондон во 1971 година, на кој присуствуваше и покојниот В.Р. официјално усвоен.

INDIAN GOVERNMENT RAISES MEMORIAL TO ROMA EXODUS

The Government of India is constructing a memorial to commemorate the exodus of the Romani people some 1 ,500 years ago. Located in the city of Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh, it is expected to be unveiled later this year at a garthering that will bring together Roma representatives from many parts of the global diaspora.

Minister of State Asim Arun says the unique memorial, including a learning centre, will be a permanent focal point for Roma throughout the world.

MEP Peter Pollak is quoted as saying, “We need the support of India to gain the full recognition of the Romani people.

At the same time, moves are in hand for the holding of the next World Romani Congress, taking place next year for the first time in South America. Hosting the event is the Roma Collective of Brazil, through the good offices of Nardi Casanova.

Among prominent Indians planning to attend is Rajan Zed, head of the Universal Society of Hindusim, in the USA. Last year the ARSP, Indian Centre for Roma Studies, and Global India Series, both signed memoranda with the WRC.

At the first WRC in London in 1971, attended by the late W.R.Rishi from the Indian High Commission, the flag of the Romani Nation was officially adopted, embossed with a red wheel, similar to the Ashok Chakra that adorns the flag of the Republic of India.
